PaintbaseStudio
Kuala Lumpur web design studio

Websites built the way good work gets built. Deliberately.

Paintbase Studio plans, designs and develops custom websites for Malaysian businesses that need more than a pretty brochure — sites that keep earning enquiries years after the launch party.

What we make

Four disciplines, one standard of finish

Everything is designed and coded in-house on Jalan P. Ramlee. No white-labelling, no hand-offs to strangers.

Custom web design & build

Research-led marketing sites drawn from scratch around how your buyers actually decide — then coded fast, accessible and easy to edit.

About custom builds

Ecommerce websites

Online stores where the catalogue reads clearly, checkout stays out of the way, and payments, shipping and tax behave properly for Malaysia.

About store builds

UX & conversion work

Structured research and steady experimentation on the site you already own. Fewer redesign gambles, more measured improvements.

About UX & CRO

Care plans & support

Updates, backups, monitoring and a standing block of design hours every month, so the site keeps improving instead of quietly rotting.

How a project runs

A calendar you can hold us to

  1. Listen first

A scoping call and a short questionnaire. We learn what the site must achieve commercially before anyone opens a design tool.

  2. Map the argument

Sitemap, page briefs and a written content plan. Every page gets a job description before it gets a layout.

  3. Design in the open

You see real pages early and often. Feedback happens on working screens, not on static pictures of screens.

  4. Build and test

Hand-coded front end, measured against speed and accessibility budgets on real Malaysian mobile connections.

  5. Launch, then improve

Redirects mapped, analytics wired, sixty days of corrections included. Then the measuring starts.

“They asked harder questions about our business than our own board does. The site they built answers those questions before a customer has to ask — and our enquiry form finally earns its keep.”

Things people ask before hiring us

What does a website by Paintbase Studio cost?

Most engagements sit between RM 15,000 and RM 70,000. The spread depends on how many page types we design, whether commerce or integrations are involved, and how much research the decision deserves. You receive a fixed written quote before anything begins — and it does not move unless the scope does.

How long will our project take?

A marketing site of eight to twelve pages usually runs seven to ten weeks. Stores and sites with custom functionality take twelve to sixteen. We publish the milestone calendar in the first week, so you always know which decision is needed next and when.

Do you work with businesses outside Kuala Lumpur?

Yes. Our studio sits on Jalan P. Ramlee, but roughly a third of our clients are in Penang, Johor and Singapore. Workshops run comfortably over video, and every walkthrough is recorded so your whole team can review it later.

Can we update the website ourselves afterwards?

That is the point. Every build ships with an editing interface arranged around your actual content, a set of short training recordings, and a written reference page your team can lean on months later without calling us.

Will a rebuild hurt the Google rankings we already have?

Not if the migration is done properly. We inventory every URL that earns traffic, map redirects one by one, carry titles and structured data across, and watch Search Console closely for the first month after launch. Protecting existing traffic is written into our launch checklist.

What happens after the site goes live?

Sixty days of included corrections come standard. Beyond that you can take a monthly care plan covering updates, backups, monitoring and small improvements, or run the site with your own team using our handover notes. Both paths are respectable; we will tell you honestly which fits.
