Cookie Policy

Last revised: 2 June 2026

This page explains how paintbase.my uses cookies and similar storage. The short version: we use very few, none of them follow you around the internet, and you are asked before any optional ones are set.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember something about your visit — a preference, a session, a measurement. Browsers also offer “local storage”, which works similarly and is covered by this policy too.

What we actually use

Strictly necessary

  • PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID). Set when you use the contact form, so the form can verify the submission genuinely came from this site. Expires when you close your browser. This cookie cannot be switched off because the form cannot work safely without it.
  • Consent record (pbConsentState). A local-storage entry remembering whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we do not ask on every page. Kept until you clear your browser data or change your choice.

Analytics (optional, off by default)

  • If — and only if — you press “Accept” on the cookie notice, we enable a privacy-respecting page-view counter. It records which pages are visited and roughly how long visitors stay, in aggregate. It does not build profiles, does not track you across other websites, and its data is not shared with advertising networks.

That is the complete list. We do not use advertising cookies, social-media pixels or fingerprinting techniques.

Your choice, and changing it

On your first visit a notice offers “Accept” and “Reject”. Rejecting costs you nothing — every page works identically. You can change your decision whenever you like: use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or the small round settings button in the lower-left corner of the screen.

Controlling cookies in your browser

All mainstream browsers let you inspect, block or delete cookies for any site. Look under Settings → Privacy in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Blocking the strictly necessary session cookie will prevent the contact form from submitting; nothing else on this site depends on cookies.
